For most normal seventeen-year-old guys, ricocheting to another time or place and leaving a hologram of himself behind to take a test, serve a suspension, or trick the parents, only to return when the deed is done, would be an amazingly cool gig. For Cade Steele, though, life is about wishing for and trying to maintain an ordinary high school profile, not drawing attention to those forbidden abilities that must stay hidden. But how is that possible when the only other two teenage rebounders are completely out of control?

Add to that saving the world from a disgruntled ex-federal agent who takes crazy to a whole new level in his plot to alter the future, and Cade discovers an entirely new set of problems.
